a wonderful Rabbi, a wonderful Rebetzin... so many people enjoy going there because of their warmth, kindness and family

I cannot even give a single star to this dreadful, phony Rabbi. My son in law went to this Chabad since childhood. He had his bar mitzvah there. He volunteered and was always available to help. My son in law-while still a fiancé-would miss Shabbat dinners at my house when The Rabbi desperately needed a minyan. My daughter and son in law married on July 9- a date that was cleared by him for his availability well over a year in advance. This Rabbi was supposed to co-officiate with our Rabbi. My son in law and his parents were ecstatic to have him participate. They sponsored a Kiddish and at the request if the Rabbi, agreed to have the Ufruf 2 weeks before the wedding instead of the Shabbat before. The rabbi expressed excitement and was supposed to bring his wife and 3 children to the wedding.. But on the day of the wedding, he was no where to be found. 45 minutes before the Chuppah, he texted that he was visiting his kid in camp in Montreal and couldn't get back on time. He has not called to explain or apologize for his dereliction in duties. He will not take or return any of our calls. He caused extreme emotional distress for my son in law and his family on the day that should be the happiest day in his life. He needlessly costed us a lot on money, as venue fees and glatt kosher meals for 5 people that didnt show are expensive. A wedding is not a Shabbat. kiddish or a community meal that one can miss without significant consequence. A wedding is a major life cycle event. It's a rabbi's job, duty and responsibility to be there for his congregant, especially after agreeing to participate. His actions are like a surgeon not showing up for surgery when the patient is on the table. Or a lawyer not showing up to trial while his client is in the court room. He is a coward for refusing to talk to any of us and explain his offensive behavior. This person is an insult to Judaism, an embarrassment to Chabad and does not deserve to have a congregation. No one should ever trust him with anything important.
He is a failure!
